Available in both white and yellow fleshed varieties, they may be eaten raw, jellied, cooked or candied. The skin is edible but may be removed. Add their succulent sweetness to ice cream, sorbet, pies, quick breads, tarts and cakes. Blend into yogurt or add chunks to fruit salads. Use as a healthy topping for cereal, pancakes, French toast or waffles.
Grown on a small family farm, these incredibly flavorful nectarines are another reason to look forward to warm Summer weather.
Nectarines are the same species as a peach, but due to a recessive gene, they do not develop the characteristic fuzz and are much firmer.
Organic nectarines are grown with no chemical pesticides or fungicides and third party certified as being organically grown in accordance with the guidelines mandated by the USDA’s Organic Foods Production Act of 2002.
