One of the most popular varieties in the marketplace today, Golden Delicious Apples are also a versatile apple, and can be used both for dessert and cooking purposes. When harvested properly, left to mature on the tree, this variety can taste sugar sweet. Organic apples are grown with no chemical pesticides or fungicides and third party certified as being organically grown in accordance with the guidelines mandated by the USDA’s Organic Foods Production Act of 2002.
The Fuji Apple was “born” in Japan. Only recently have they come to the United States but they are quickly becoming a favorite. Fuji Apples offer the color, juice and firmness of a Red Delicious and the heirloom flavor of a Ralls Janet.

Melissa’s Fuji Apples are hand-selected for excellent quality. Choose firm, smooth yellow-orange apples with a golden blush and avoid bruising. Refrigerate unwashed apples in a perforated plastic bag for up to four months. Apples kept out of refrigeration tend to become mealy.
Home sweet home is where you want to take Melissa’s California Crab Apples. Firm, well-colored, and very fragrant, Crab Apples are usually not eaten raw because of their sweet and sour flavor and high pectin content. Instead, these small apples are widely used to make outstanding jams and jellies and serve as a delicious accompaniment to pork and poultry. Simply core apples, bake until hot (about 20 minutes) and serve.
Melissa’s Crab Apples should have smooth, firm, unbroken surfaces free of bruises and blemishes. Some apples may have a brownish freckled surface on their skin, usually caused by weather, but their flavor is unaffected. To keep apples crisp, store refrigerated, in a plastic bag (to retain moisture).
